Peyronie's
Disease is a condition known as penile curvature. This is usually benign and results in an abnormal
bent of the penis during erection. Peyronie’s Disease is caused by a plaque of hard tissues in the
penis, which prevents the penis from expanding
correctly during the erection and results in a curvature. Although it is not dangerous, the curvature can
actually be detrimental as it can affect the sexual life.
Peyronie’s Disease affects about the 3% of males and usually occurs between
the ages of 45 and 60. Some symptoms of this disease include:
• The erection is sometimes painful and makes
intercourse difficult
• The
penis is curved or bent during erection
• The
diameter of the penis narrows with erection
• A thick band of hard tissue can be observed
Many males suffering from Peyronie's Disease do
not need medical treatment and the condition usually clears up by
itself. In other cases the disease is is severe and some treatment is
needed to relieve the effects and improve the sexual life.
Anyone noticing a slight bend or curving during
erection
should take action soon before it gets worse. Peyronie's disease is
typically progressive and and can progress into impotence or severe
restrictions to have
intercourse.
The exact cause of the defects that lead to penile curvature is unknown
but some researchers think that the plaque can appear after trauma
(such as hitting or bending of the penis) or sexual activity too vigorous. Other
possible causes are diabetes, circulatory disorders, or a genetic link.
Available treatments
There are different drug treatments
Peyronie’s Disease. These include Vitamin E or B-complex
treatment,
steroid and calcium channel blockers injections, and radiation therapy.
These treatments are mainly directed to reduce pain. For
correction, the most well known
treatment for the Peyronie's disease involves surgery and because of
the risks, is resisted by many people.
An attractive option is offered by the SizeGenetics™ system.
The
traction device, which is part of the SizeGenetics™ penis
enlargement program can help to substantially improve the condition by
forcing the penile tissue to expand instead of retracting, which
increases the curve. Clinical studies suggest that regular use of Size
Genetics helps reduce the curvature and
maintain or increase the size of the penis.
The SizeGenetics package includes a free membership to
PenisHealth. This penis exercises program contains a series of
exercises that are especially designed to decrease the curvature caused by
Peyronie’s disease. Members of Penis Health learn to
increase the length and girth, prevent and fix penile curvatures and
premature ejaculation. These exercises ensure that the user will maintain sexual fitness throughout the
years.
